This will be us - your new colleagues

Our Department, Vehicle Software-R&D within Digital and IT has the accountability to support all development areas (R&D) withing Volvo Group with digital solutions and applications.

Our team is developing Line of Business Applications supporting Embedded Software documentation configuration and release

Our stakeholders are Software engineers developing software used in all products as trucks, engines, busses, construction equipment.

We have started to migrate our applications to cloud as Microservices and Single Page Application and will continue our path towards this.

Qualifications:

• Proven track record of work experience as an architect or senior develper prior to this in an agile context.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
• Good knowledge of modern software engineering principles and best practices.
• Understanding potentially complex problems and finding possible solutions.
• Ability to communicate complex aspects within area of specialization
• Good understanding of business processes.
• Experience with JIRA, confluence, and Azure DevOps

Security knowledge

Good to have knowledge in Node.js, Angular, SvelteKit, Net. 6/7 ( C#) , SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Graph databases, BlockChain. AI, in Cloud/Azure/ OpenShift, Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana. Domain Driven Design, RestFull design, Microservice Architecture, Single Page Application design, MicroFrontend design Experience.

Responsibilities:

• Secure that solution follow Volvo Groups policies (quality, security)
• Analyze Business needs and understanding business domain (Embedded Software)
• Researching and understanding new technologies with focus on solution improvement
• Support the product Owner and teams in aligning the Product Roadmap to the architectural guidelines and roadmaps.
• Collaborating closely with teams, suppliers, and third-party stakeholders in defining the technology, creating a detailed software design of the solution.
• Actively participating in the PI planning events and ceremonies
• Working with cross-functional teams
• Communication, transparency, growth mindset and open for innovation
• Passion for DevOps, way of working, automation, continuous improvements, and a strong sense of team collaboration.
