Opera Sweden is looking for a DevOps Developer with a passion for technology and learning to join our diverse fin-tech team in Gothenburg where you get to build great products together with the team. Experimenting with new technology is in our DNA and our collaborative team is constantly trying to find better ways to build quality products. In our current project we have chosen to go with a TypeScript, React Native, React.js, Redux stack and invested in CI/CD and test automation using the popular Jest, Detox and Selenium frameworks. Product quality and iteration speed are crucial to building successful products and we believe writing tests should be a natural part of the development process. In this role you will be working in a supportive team of about 10 people with an agile workflow. Together with the rest of the team you will be part of design reviews, sprint planning, weekly sprints, continuous integration and delivery processes. The team is currently located in Gothenburg in a cozy office in the city center.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Support the team by building and improving CI and CD;
  • Build monitoring and reporting for the project;
  • Set up the framework for incident management and recovery;
  • Cooperate with the development team to build the SDLC framework for the project;
  • Create a release plan with the management team and developers;
  • Manage allocation of cloud resources;
  • Establishing and advocating DevOps best practices in the team.

Job Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience;
  • At least 2 years of recent employment in a DevOps role in the enterprise environment;
  • Experience with deployment and delivery of web apps, ability to build the infrastructure from scratch;
  • Familiarity with mainstream CI/CD for web apps: Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Puppet;
  • Work experience with cloud hosting providers such as AWS;
  • Experience with load balancing and CDN, administration of Linux systems;

An Ideal Candidate’s Profile:

  • Been familiar with front-end tools: Babel, Webpack, NPM, linters, etc.;
  • Been familiar with monitoring tools such as Graphana, Loki, infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform;
  • Close-to-expert knowledge of git, experience with python, shell scripting and high availability systems;
  • The role requires fluency in English
  • Currently living in Gothenburg or willing to relocate;
