.NET Backend Developer – Payments Team

About the team

As a .NET Backend developer you’ll develop the product and the technical platform for our thousands of users in the Nordic region. You’ll be critical in taking complex problems and creating simple, scalable solutions that elevate a world class experience for our users.

You will be working in a .NET environment in our Payment-focused team, where the mission is to take the friction out of payments. You will have the opportunity to work with three other developers with the full circle of payments – from the initial order to checkout flows and backend settlements. We’re a friendly and skilled group of people who like to challenge existing solutions and ways of working.

It is important that you have good communication skills and is open to having conversations in all directions, both towards other developers but also UX Design and Product Owners. You might also participate in customer workshops to better understand how to serve our buyers and sellers.

Example of responsibilities

• Be part of a small team and contribute to achieving its mission

• Build and maintain scalable backend applications and payment services for Tradera.com

• Work with languages and technologies such C#/.Net Core, Kubernetes, NServiceBus, MS SQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDb, RabbitMq, Google Cloud and more.

• Engage in architectural improvements and discussions

• Work in harmony with software engineers, product management, UX, and operational teams to develop the next generation of our payment system, Tradera Pay.

Who are you?

We believe that you’re a curious backend developer interested in testing your technical skills and problem solving capabilities. Skills and proficiency in one or more of the technologies we work with on a daily basis would excite us, but we value your willingness to learn even more.

Further, it's important that you’re good at communicating both towards other developers as well as towards UX/Design and Product Owners. Experience with working on high traffic websites within e-commerce or related industry is a plus.
