The European Spallation Source (ESS) is a partnership organization of 13 European member countries located in the city of Lund, Sweden. We are currently recruiting for the position of System Developer within our IT Operations & Support group. In this role you will work primarily together with a team of developers on our PLM platform, in this role you will find many opportunities to learn from an experienced group of IT professionals and be part of new and exciting projects. Further, your responsibilities and qualifications will include:

Your role:

As a developer in the IT division you will be surrounded by a team that looks after many software systems at ESS. You will take part in the entire development chain for our PLM platform, which includes both Enovia and Catia. You will have the opportunity but also responsibility to work with the entire chain from requirements to deployment. In your daily work you can also expect to support the first line team with technical knowledge.

Team Responsibilities:

• Product development and deployment
• Requirements gathering and system design
• Implementation, analysis, design and troubleshooting
• Verification and documentation
• Incident management and request fulfilment

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field or equivalent
• At least 2-3 years technical knowledge in Java development, along with a diverse mix of IT skill set like Core Java, JSP, JavaScript, HTML and other technologies required to build and maintain Enterprise level IT solutions
• Experience working in a structured way, with solid analytical skills.
• Being a good collaborator with an emphasis on problem solving together with others. Being a keen listener.
• Having the ability to think outside the box and find and share different solutions/alternatives to a problem.

Beneficial technical experience:

• Automated testing
• Documentation and requirement gathering skillset
• DevOps experience, including schedulers, CI/CD
• Experience of Technia Value Components (TVC) implementation in ENOVIA.
• Experienced in Enovia Java APIs, MQL, JPO, TCL scripts.
• Experienced working with Oracle 11g and Oracle 12c databases

The position is a permanent, full-time position and is located in Lund, Sweden.
