TeliaSonera has been working with TV-services since 2005 and is one of the leading players in Sweden within this area with over 1 million TV-customers in the Nordic region. TV is one of the key focus areas of TeliaSonera and “TV from Telia” is offered on traditional TV-sets as well as smartphones and tablets. Group Technology - Products & Services has the responsibility for the overall TV architecture, development and maintenance of the common TV-platform. Within our unit we work according to an agile methodology and have several Scrum-teams which include architects, developers and testers.

About the position
TeliaSonera is a market leader in TVoIP/OTT-products, delivering a high quality streaming service accessible on any device. With exciting new possibilities for consumers around the corner, the backend development team in Gothenburg is looking to expand with 4 Java developers. The team is building a personalized and seamless experience on a platform that is highly scalable, testable and maintainable. Design decisions will be data driven which will put high demands on analytics and big data solutions.

As a Java developer in the backend solutions group you will be joining an experienced team of 28 developers, architects and testers. You will be writing code to enable new features and services in the platform. On the horizon is a personalization of content delivery, recommendation engines, integration of metadata, seamless switching between devices and more.

Your background
You are an experienced Java developer with working knowledge of a typical Java stack, preferably you have worked with both Java 6 & 8 and/or Java EE 5 & 6 and your experience includes both relational as well as NoSQL and distributed data sources.

You enjoy backend development and understand the principles behind TDD, API-driven applications, microservices and transaction intensive distributed systems.

We will emphasize personal fit for the position, we value entrepreneurial individuals who truly enjoy team work and are willing to walk the extra mile to make things happen.

Both Swedish and English speakers will be considered for the position, your application documents can be in either language.
