Cloud Solution Architect

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a talented and experienced Cloud Architect to join our team of exceptional engineers in Lund. As a Cloud Architect, you will play a key role in designing and implementing effective, efficient, scalable, and secure cloud solutions for our diverse portfolio of customer projects. You will work closely with our development teams, project managers, and customers to ensure that our software solutions meet the highest standards of quality, scalability, and maintainability.

As a Cloud Architect you will lead, coordinate and coach the developers throughout the project from a technical point of view and you will also sometimes work hands-on in the project together with the team. You will also actively participate in the quotation process, together with PMO, sales and system engineers as applicable.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY

• Work closely with SW line management with strategic topics of competence development, growth/scaling, business development, targeted industries etc.
• Lead and coordinate the developers throughout the project from a technical point of view.
• Work technically hands-on in the project together with team
• Assist sales and PMO in pre-sales for SW related technical area.
• Engage in dialogue with customers and other stake owners to suggest technical solution(s) for customer’s ideas, vision and/or needs.
• Answering technical questions from potential customers, direct and/or after investigation.
• Understand the customer’s needs by asking open questions and being thoughtful, communicative, and creative.
• Give the customer insight into technology by verbal pictures and sketched drawings.
• Participate in the quotation process, together with PMO, sales and system engineers as applicable.
• Assist/support PMO in planning the Cloud part of the project in calendar time.
• Lead the creation of Cloud architecture, defining components and interfaces.
• Work to provide cost efficient cloud solutions and provide cost analysis in writing of the architecture suggested to customer.
• Work directly with our customers, document and present the architecture and explain the technical decisions taken, including the tradeoffs and consequences of those decisions.
• Technical lead design and integration activities, and work to ensure that the consequences of any design changes made are well understood and that integrity of the system is maintained.
• Propose technical environment for development, test and transfer.

REQUIREMENTS

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

• At least 8-10 years of job experience
• At least 4-5 years of experience as a software architect or similar, leading the technical parts of a SW project (Architecture/Design etc.)
• Experience of the service industry, with a track record of working close to customers
• At least 3 years of experience in AWS-based solutions
• AWS certification (AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, or AWS Certified Security) or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing complex AWS based solutions, including Infrastructure as code (Terraform), serverless architecture and containerization.
• Strong technical skills in programming languages such as: Python, Java, Node.js (Typescript) and Rust their strength and weaknesses.
• Great knowledge within AWS architecture and networking.
• Good understanding of cost optimization strategies in cloud environments.l
• Have knowledge of scripting e.g. Bash or Python together with AWS CLI.
• A good understanding of Security for AWS, i.e. access management (IAM), encryption, and network security (NACLs, VPNs).
• Excellent communication, documentation and writing skills.
• Great leadership skills.
• Fast learner and ready to dive into unknowns.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Frontend development frameworks, such as React, Angular, Vue.js
• Atomic Design pattern and able to create component-based architectures.
• Common patterns and their strengths: MVC, MVVM, MVP.
• Experience working with IoT devices.
• Experience from working within the automotive industry
• Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence
• Knowledge of microservices architecture
• Experience with container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience in designing and implementing cloud-native applications
