Group Commercial is responsible for TeliaSonera's global product portfolio, global business, customer experience and brand architecture. Examples of global businesses and products are TeliaSonera International Carrier, TeliaSonera M2M business, TV & entertainment and devices. Group Commercial also has the assignment to develop and drive new innovative concepts for TeliaSonera's customers on all our markets.

Purple+ has the mission to identify, develop and test future service propositions across the whole of TeliaSonera Group. Utilizing technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Impala, R, Python and several other advanced analytics and visualization technologies - combined with our vast data TeliaSonera is currently building the business and technical capabilities that are required to become the next generation Telco.
As Data Scientist you make sure that future service propositions and business models get from the whiteboard to the minimum viable product and to customer validation and that we learn along the way. The use cases implemented will deliver real business value in a truly agile fashion with IT and business in close cooperation to ensure that the right insights are delivered at the right time.
The Data Scientist will report to the Head of Purple+.
Developing statistical, predictive analytical models and insights using scientific test/validation based methods. Delivering valuable and actionable insights in close cooperation with the business to maximize business value performing advanced analysis for fact based decisions. Deliver proactive insights and suggestions to take business value even further. For example: participating in creating the framework we need for predictive network maintenance, preemptive customer care and next best activity for enterprise customers. Explore new data sources using Data Discovery and establish a best practice for TeliaSonera. Be a driving force around exploring the potential use cases and benefits of Machine learning Visualize and explain insights in an easy to grasp manner together with visualization experts .

Intellectual curiosity, logical thinking, and the ability to solve complex problems that may not always be well-defined. In-depth understanding of the business value of the data in any new business application and service. 5+ years of experience working with BI/Analytical solutions. Experience working with statistical analysis and investigating theories in a scientific manner using Data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, etc. in a complex IT environment with high-volume transactional systems. Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Maths, etc. Fluent in English, spoken and written .Passion for numbers, statistics as well as strong business and financial acumen
