The Product Offer & Price cluster is a part of the Commercial Digital area, and our mission is to create and deliver compelling product offers to customers. We support the rest of the organization in using data to help our customers discover and purchase our offers, ensuring a consistent user experience across the journey.
For this role we are looking for someone that will help us design, develop, and steward our federated graph platform – which is our primary means for distributing product offers throughout the organization. This includes actively contributing to creating a smooth developer experience for both data owners and data consumers. We are a small group of graph champions, so you will be among friends. This is a crucial team in which you’ll be able to make a great impact and help us set the tone for the next chapter in our company's history! 
What you'll do:
* Be an integral part of a small but geographically distributed team, truly impacting Volvo Cars’ digital journey
* Create a stellar developer experience for integrating applications with the federated graph platform
* Design best-practises around security, performance, and governance (stewardship) for our federated graph
* Develop our best practices around GraphQL and Federation
* Support teams to ensure that they have what they need to fully own their sub-graph
* Help ensure stable operation globally and a consistent experience regardless of consumer location
* Work in a stack comprised of Typescript, Apollo GraphQL, unit and integration tests in Jest, hosted in Kubernetes on AWS, OpenTelemetry for instrumentation, continuous delivery with ArgoCD and continuous integration on Github Actions

Who you are:
* A versatile, talented engineer who is eager to get into the nuts and bolts how we expose or data and information in a coherent and consistent way, across teams and organizations.
* Experience with designing and building APIs – bonus points for GraphQL APIs
* Several years’ experience developing distributed, scalable applications
* Strong coding experience in either JavaScript or TypeScript for Node.js
* Experience with micro-service architecture
* Experience from working with globally scaled applications and services
