Gaming Gorps is looking for a Technical Support Engineer with the main purpose to provide internal technical support across a range of technologies, as well as maintaining a secure, and efficient IT infrastructure.

As a Technical Support Engineer, your main purpose will be to provide internal technical support across a range of technologies, as well as maintaining a secure, and efficient IT infrastructure. Furthermore, you will provide assistance and support for hardware setup and installation as well as software configuration and installation. You will be required to communicate our IT needs to management, and as such will be a strong communicator, with the ability to document and maintain modifications to process, IT assets and software licences. You will show confidence in your work, and be an enthusiastic member of the team, and will work closely with Management, HR and the code department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Management of user accounts across our various software and operating system packages
- Lead Network Administration, e.g. Active Directory, Windows Server 2012, VPN, RDP tasks
- Maintain source control server(s), build servers, and file servers
- Assist users with technical and network issues
- Keep inventory of hardware
- Define overall company IT strategy
- Conduct ongoing assessments of short and long-term hardware and software needs
- Organize and keep a  library of all hardware and software CD keys
- Safekeep and organize all hardware  (laptops, sound equipment, video equipment, office equipment, portable devices etc)
- Printer setup and maintenance

REQUIREMENTS:
The right candidate must have an interest for the gaming industry and be driven and ambitious. As the Technical Support Engineer you will play an integral role in the organization, and the right candidate needs to be very structured yet flexible.

- Hardware assembling and installing experience
- Planning and documentation experience
- The ability to communicate effortlessly in English across all levels of an organization
- Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, both Server and Desktop
- Knowledge of OSX, including bash
- 2 to 3 years experience in a similar role with similar responsibilities
- An interest for Computer Games
- Strong Troubleshooting skills with the initiative to find innovative technical solutions
- Knowledge of Perforce
- Knowledge of AD?s, LDAP, Group Policies etc.
- Knowledge of Debian based (UNIX) systems, upstart
