Senior Developer

Nova is looking for a senior developer to become a key player in its new product organisation. Nova - a Scandinavian talent network - is undergoing a transformation into a product based organisation. We build web products and mobile apps that facilitate personal/professional development and collaboration between top talent across the world.

As a senior developer you will:

• Develop Nova’s products, using a cutting-edge technology stack.

• Help shape the future of Nova’s technology platform and grow with the team.

• Work in a small team of world-class software engineers.

Required skills:

• At least 5 years of development experience.

• Strong communication and analytical capabilities.

• Experience with functional programming.

• Experience building scalable systems with large numbers of users.

• Experience working in an Agile team, using methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and XP.

• Entrepreneurial spirit and passion for innovative consumer products.

Bonus:

• Degree in computer science, or equivalent experience.

• Experience from tech startups.

• Experience with Clojure, Scala, Haskell, F#, or other functional languages.

• Experience with event sourcing and NoSQL.

• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS)

• Experience with test-driven development (TDD).

• Devops/Sysadmin skills.

• Active in open source projects.
