Head of Data Science

Acne Studios is recruiting a curious and experienced Head of Data Science to join our team in Stockholm. You will play a vital part in contributing to the molding and growth of Acne Studios which is in an expansive phase Globally. 

Your role is vital in forging a deeper connection between these components and unlocking the value of our data resources for our manufacturing and logistics company in optimizing our data utilization. You will be responsible for leveraging data to drive business growth and customer satisfaction. You will get the opportunity to partner with stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities for data-driven insights and solutions in a progressive fashion house. 

About the role 

In this role, you will be responsible for the area of data science at Acne Studios. You will be managing aspects of, for example, data collection and preparation, data analysis, machine learning, data visualization, data engineering, big data, business intelligence, and predictive analysis. 

You will build and manage a data science team consisting of four people including; a senior data scientist, a data scientist, a data architect, and a data engineer, who holds excellent expertise in these areas as well as great relevant experience.

One of your main objectives in this role will be to manage a set of stakeholders ranging from very technical to not technical at all and help them understand how to use all available data in their decision-making and general day-to-day operational work. 

You will report to the CIO and belong to the IT department. This is a full-time position placed at our HQ in central Stockholm. 

About You 

To succeed in this role we think you need to have both experience and interest in: 

• Change work, especially in the context of implementing data-driven methods and working methods in an organization 
• Excellent communication skills with several years of experience in stakeholder management 
• Leading modern data teams (data science, data/ML engineering, etc.) 
• Creating an environment that motivates others and the team, through support, energy, and clear expectations 

If you have experience or interest in the following it is a plus but not a must: 

• e-2-e development of ML/AI-based products used in production
• Previously worked in retail with a focus on retail, luxury fashion, or related industries
• Hands-on experience as a data scientist, ML engineer, or data engineer 
• Qualified in data science and analytics techniques, including statistical analyses, data visualization, machine learning, and data mining
• Competence in Python and SQL

Acne Studios is a global company with English as a working language. Fluency in written and oral English is therefore a must. Limited business travel may occur.
