Infrastructure Engineer

We are strengthening our infrastructure team, or InfraDev as we prefer to call it, with more awesome techies who have a strong interest in automation and want to be involved in building and developing our environment. Naturally, you embrace the DevOps-way. In addition to working closely with the infrastructure team you will also work closely with other members of our talented cross-functional tech teams.

The InfraDev team has a central role at Gears of Leo and today develops state-of-the-art tools from scratch, with the technology choices made within the team. The team works closely with our developers and has overall responsibility for everything from deployment to operation. We place great emphasis on the Continuous Deploy / Delivery and have high performance standards for the deployments performed.

Some of the team’s responsibilities are:

• AUTOMATION! AUTOMATION! AUTOMATION! (thereby take a feature to production with minimal resistance, in the easiest possible way)
• Involve our developers in production
• Ensure that our developers communicate with operations in the best possible way
• Develop tools to manage development and maintenance in a smooth and timely manner
• Shorten the time for a feature to go live in production
• Constantly evaluate new techniques and tools to choose the best solution

We are looking for that special someone that:

• Has a strong focus on Continuous delivery / Deployment

• Loves new challenges and technologies such as Ansible and Docker

• Has worked with automation, logging and monitoring

• Is passionate about DevOps and want to be involved in the building of our environment and processes together with our developers

• Is ready for the challenge to develop tools to deal with a larger microservices architecture

• Wants to have the chance to evaluate and influence the choice of technology and tools

• Has a strong understanding of how infrastructure is connected (storage, data transfer & backup solutions etc.)

We will like you that little bit extra if you also have experience with:

• Setting up and maintaininng a continious delivery pipeline

• Docker & Ansible

• Development & Scripting (e.g. Perl, Bash or similar)
