Test Automation Specialist

Shared Services will enable project success by delivering excellent integration and test services, develop and deliver solutions for IT infrastructure and integration. Shared Services will also manage projects within Operations & Shared Services and provide services for IKEA Multichannel. We also provide expertise in information security and risk management.
The TestCenter within Shared Services supports more than 300 different IT services and projects at IKEA with test competence, test services and tools. We are now looking for an experienced Test Automation Specialist to join our great test team!
As a Test Automation Specialist you will deliver automation assignments where you deliver automated functional tests to IKEA initiatives with the purpose to reduce execution time and increase test coverage. This includes planning, design, development and maintenance of automated scripts with high quality, reusability and flexibility. Assignments also includes education and support to the receivers of the automated scripts on how to execute and update test data.
You will also perform feasibility studies to evaluate possibilities and benefits of using test automation for different initiatives.
The tools mainly used at IKEA are HP Performance Center, HP UFT and HP ALM. It is a requirement that you have experience working with HP UFT (previously called QTP). You should have good knowledge of some of the programming languages and techniques, like C, C++, C#, Java, VB Script and SQL. We would also like you to have knowledge of the different infrastructure components, for example Windows, Unix, Linux, network and databases. We want you to have a strong technical interest and enjoy exploring new technologies. If you also have some projects on your spare time involving programming etc. we would love to hear you tell us about it!
Apart from your technical skills we want you to be service minded, structured and driven with an ability to connect and build trustful relationships with people both internally and externally of IKEA. You should have an analytical mind, and be able to communicate in a comprehensive way, even for people who are not as technically skilled as you. We want you to take leadership in further developing the service, with the consumer and customer need in focus.
You will be part of a team with a lot of energy with high service mind-set always looking for improvements to support the growing and future IKEA. Placement is in Helsingborg, Älmhult, Dortmund or Wallau. Since we are a team currently in a lot of change, adding capabilities and widening our service offer, it is very important that you are pro-active, driven and take responsibility to build up this new organisation together with us, meeting the needs of IKEA people, today and tomorrow.
