Senior Software Developer

Freespee is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our team in the Uppsala office. We are a small and dynamic team working across our main expertise which means that you will be involved in everything from feature specifications, architecture, development, testing and documentation to second line support.

At Freespee we have an open climate where you are expected to use your skills and experiences wherever they are needed. You will be solo-, pair-, peer- or mob-programming depending on what makes most sense for the task at hand. In the development team we have adapted an Agile mindset, releasing new functionality at least every two weeks.

As a person you are constantly seeking new skills and sharing these among your peers. You have a strong drive to create beautiful, functional and high quality solutions that delight customers. You have excellent problem solving skill, are full of energy and are always willing to help. A great sense of humor and taste in music is an advantage.

Desired skills and experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in software development preferably in a SaaS environment.
• PHP, Javascript/jQuery/AngularJS, Node, MySQL, Redis.
• Strong verifiable contributions to Open Source software are a plus.
• Possesses a deep understanding of web application development and agile development practices.
• Enthusiasm for writing beautiful, elegant clean code.
• Great communication skills both written and verbal.
• Proven ability to lead a team of developers is a plus.
