We?re looking for product-aware platform engineers that are creative builders. The platform team works on making highly scalable solutions. We get feedback from analytics and monitoring tools and refine and perfect their solution at each iteration. Tech-wise, our server code is written in Python (Django and Falcon) and you will be exposed to distributed computing (scalable stack, queue-driven distributed processing), cloud hosting (Amazon), database optimization (MySQL, Redis, MongoDB), microservices, search solutions (Sphinx, ElasticSearch), test driven development, load testing, etc.
This role is a good fit for analytical and creative software engineers that love teamwork. We work closely in full stack tech teams and follow the motto ?teamwork is better work?.
You should want to grow and learn from others, and you should also want to teach and help others grow.
Responsibilities
Write well tested, well documented code (self-documented code is even better!)
Be part of a full stack product team taking features from the idea stage to scalable production deployments
As a senior member of the tech team, facilitate and participate in the mentoring and continuous learning of the team.
Requirements
Passion. You love distributed systems and solving our users? problems in a smart and scalable way
5+ years of software development experience
Have understanding of service oriented architecture and want to contribute to architectural design
You have worked in a team of developers and know the benefits of tests, beautifully written (self-documenting) code, continuous integration, logging and monitoring
You claim mastership of Python or a similar language
You are a team worker with excellent communication skills
Fluent (written and verbal) in English
Pluses
Experience with Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, SQS, etc.)
Experience with microservices
Contributor to open-source projects
Passion for health and fitness
Foodie
