IBM WebSphere MQ - Operations Solution Architect

Nasdaq is now looking for a Operations Solution Architect with focus on IBM WebSphere MQ to join us at the Stockholm office. Located in the renovated former Ford assembly plant in Frihamnen, our spacious and open plan factory-style campus houses 700 of Nasdaq?s IT talent across many areas such as engineering, architects, development, infrastructures and testers.

You will primarily work with Genium INET: our state of the art trading solution used to power markets in the Nordics as well as several other big markets around the world, for example Singapore Exchange and Hong Kong Exchange and Clearing Ltd.

About the team, role and responsibilities:

You will lead, plan and implement changes in different phases of the technology product life cycle, from inception through introduction into the marketplace in collaboration with various functions, including network engineering, software development, technical operations and business partners. You will take design leadership of IBM WMQ mainly in Europe, but you will also work with other solutions/platforms that we operate.

- Design, specify and document short- and long-term solutions to support technology needs and to meet client requirements.
- Work to strengthen the IMB WMQ expertise and knowledge within developer and support teams.
- Implement new technical solutions for platforms and surrounding system using IBM WMQ.
- Perform technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications.

Requirements:

- Education required: Master of Science degree in computer science or similar level of education
- Experience required: 5+ years of experience of software development and/or business logic
- Broad technology base and wide range technology knowledge from infrastructure to functionality.
- Experience of operations of large complex real-time transaction systems within the Financial Industry
- IBM WMQ development experience and software design and architecture experience
- WMQ operational on platforms Linux, Microsoft Windows ,IBM iSeries (AS/400)
- WMQ Clustering and Security
- Provide direction for technology within key specialist area
- Budgeting and cost analyze of new and existing solutions.
- Excellent language skills in written and spoken English
- You have experience of management projects and WMQ design and architecture.
