The role
As a devops at Com Hem you will work with Com Hem’s TV-service and TV-platforms. You will partly work in different kind of projects such as large scale distribution, build new data services and build new functionalities together with the developers from another group at Com Hem. In this role you will work a lot with requirements definition towards the developers and be involved in projects regarding new functionalities and services. You will have the chance to be involved in design discussions and be able to influence the outcome.

You will also work proactively with their systems and improving their pipeline, prevent cases that recur, work with the backlog, automate and upgrade the platform. You will handle cases that the NOC at Com Hem escalates to you and work closely with your team members. The challenge in this role is to have the ability to organize and structure your work, since you have a lot of different tasks to do. You are involved in different projects at the same time you will manage the daily work and prioritize the cases.

The role includes on call duty Mon-Mon 24/7. Today there is a schedule of 6 people. 99% of the cases you can solve from home and it is about 2-3 cases / week. They also have a group chat where you can ask for help.

Your experience

You have at least 2 years of experience as a Linux technician or in a dev-ops role. You have in your previous roles been involved in various projects, so that you're used to push things forward and handle several things simultaneously. If you have worked with Broadcasting and have knowledge of similar systems it’s obviously a plus! But the important thing is your attitude to technology and that you want to learn new things!

Technical Requirements:

• Linux
• Python, Ruby or Perl (Mostly Python)
• Knowledge about ELK or Splunk
• Knowledge about Puppet, Chef or Ansible

It’s a bonus if you have worked with Rabbit mq or Raddis.
