At the moment we are looking for a Front-end Developer to join our Video Hosting Systems (VHS) group within the New Business team.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Axis Video Hosting System (AVHS) is a Linux based video surveillance system that offers our customers video surveillance services and video hosting in the cloud. The products has tens of thousands concurrent users with high demands on software security, robustness and stability.
AVHS is also a rapidly growing system and the demands from user on new features is high and we are now looking to expand our front-end team with a Java Script Wiz that loves HTML5/CSS3. We think that you have worked with JavaScript SPA (Single Page Application) before and like to talk to backend developers to defining the best possible API for a modern front-end application.
You will be part of a highly agile team with dedicated colleagues who are open to new ideas. Creativity and innovation is always encouraged, and the work you do will be noticed and make a difference.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
This is an important role, where you need to exercise your skills within modular design and solving complex problems together with the team. We believe that you are comfortable taking responsibility, questioning status quo and driving and developing AVHS to align with the growing demands on the product. As a person you are structured and you enjoy interacting with customers and colleagues.
You have experience in:
Java Script HTML5/CSS3 Good understanding of the UI and UX of a web application Experience with source control (Git)
If you feel comfortable and have worked with the following it’s seen as a merit, but not a requirement (a lot of buzz words):
Backbone.js, Underscore.js, Marionette.js jQuery Mocha.js/Chai.js Gulp.js Node.js SASS Twitter Bootstrap H.264, RTSP, MP4 CSS pre-compilers Linux TDD, CI, QA, Test Automation

OUR NEW BUSINESS TEAM
The New Business team is a unique group within Axis. The group is responsible for both evaluating new business ideas from a technical and a commercial perspective, and product development to offer customers the best products on the market. The team has market oriented business development resources as well as product development resources.
The VHS group is responsible for the AVHS (Axis Video Hosting Solution) product within the New Business team. The AVHS product is supporting the majority of all existing and new products that Axis is developing and is in the forefront of video security surveillance systems and continuously adds new innovative features and technology.
