Configuration Management Database Analyst

The Configuration Management Database Analyst is responsible for developing, implementing, configuring and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, processes, activities and projects related to BMC Atrium CMDB. All efforts must be performed in compliance with ITIL v.3 framework.

The Configuration Management Database Analyst focuses on defining CI attributes and all the relationships among other CIs and Services required to support ITSM processes. You will be working closely with the SACM Manager to agree on configuration item classes and corresponding attributes and also to set up rules to ensure full control of customer?s configuration items. The Configuration Management Database Analyst will spread the knowledge about the SACM area by having a service approach which brings and clarifies the business value.

Is this the right challenge for you?
To be successful in this role you need to have documented experience in working with CMDBs and preferably BMC Atrium CMDBs. Good knowledge of how to extract data from different sources to do in depth analysis of the result and suggest improvements. You are certified in ITIL v.3 Framework and used to working with supporting incidents, problems and change management in accordance with ITIL. You also have applied knowledge in real-working environments. Furthermore we would like you to have the following qualifications:
Good knowledge of both ADDM and Remedy Asset and Configuration Management
Good knowledge of data analysis and the CMDB data structure
Good knowledge in query writing (SQL) and reporting tools
Understand the technical platform with its abilities and limitations.
Stakeholder management is also very important in this role as you need to be able to both support, guide and instruct customers on all levels of our organisation. You have the courage to express opinions and act on behalf of IKEA ITs best interest.

As a person you feel comfortable in a changing environment and are a good communicator who is fluent in English, spoken as well as written. It?s natural and easy for you to explain and make colleagues and customers understand.
