Senior IT Systems Developer for MS BI Front-end

Sandvik IT Global Shared Services (GSS) is a support function with the mission of meeting the IT needs of Sandvik's business globally. This is done in an international environment, with various areas of responsibility, such as IT architecture, management systems, process development, IT security and IT support. Today, about 850 people in approximately 40 countries work in IT Global Shared Services at Sandvik.

The Business Intelligence (BI) team supports internal stakeholders worldwide and our scope of responsibility ranges from single IT solutions to a significant subset of the entire Sandvik IT solution landscape. To strengthen our highly skilled team, we are now looking for a Senior IT Systems Developer for MS BI Front-end to be part of our journey towards the future in BI.

The position is to be based in Sandviken, Sweden.

Job Summary
As a Senior IT Systems Developer you deliver value to Sandvik's business by performing system development and implementing ways of incorporating new technologies. You participate in pre-studies and you design, create and evaluate analytical solution interfaces. Your responsibility includes business interaction and you act as a bridge between our technical world and the business, whereof your extensive business understanding is of great value. With comprehensive technical knowledge, you manage information modeling and information architecture to secure our delivery.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's in IT Engineering or the equivalent. You have at least five years´ experience of systems development and building reporting or analysis solutions. Furthermore, you are a skilled user of SQL querying programming and you have practical experience from working with MS PowerBI, SQL Server BI Stack and demand processing. An understanding of business knowledge and support areas such as Finance, HR, Purchasing and Sales is a plus, while previous knowledge of QlikView, SAP Business Objects, ITIL foundation and graphic design for IT systems is advantageous. As we work in a global environment, you need excellent communications skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
