Solution Architect for Microsoft Business Intell

Sandvik IT Global Shared Services (GSS) is a support function with the mission of meeting the IT needs of Sandvik's business globally. This is done in an international environment, with various areas of responsibility, such as IT architecture, management systems, process development, IT security and IT support. Today, about 850 people in approximately 40 countries work in IT Global Shared Services at Sandvik.

The Business Intelligence (BI) team supports internal stakeholders worldwide and our scope of responsibility ranges from single IT solutions to a significant subset of the entire Sandvik IT solution landscape. Our ambition is to enable our employees to constantly develop and we believe that sharing our knowledge is the road to success. To strengthen our highly skilled team, we are now looking for a Solution Architect for Microsoft Business Intelligence to be part of our journey towards the future in BI.

The position is to be based in Sandviken, Sweden.

Job Summary
As a Solution Architect you provide value to the organization by focusing on designing fit-for-purpose solutions with architectural integrity that are aligned with the architectural guidance and constraints in the IT landscape. You take the role as lead developer in implementation projects and maintenance of BI solutions and you are also responsible for participating in target architecture development. Understanding customer requirements and needs and transforming them into the most suitable IT solutions that meet business standards are a part of your daily work, as is identifying and validating new technologies which are relevant for achieving business objectives.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's in IT or at least five years' experience from working with data warehousing. You have solid understanding of requirements for advanced analytics such as Machine Learning, as well as practical experience from demand processing and data modeling. You are a skilled user of SQL Server BI Stack, T-SQL programming and ETL-design (with SSIS). An understanding of business knowledge and support areas such as Finance, HR, Purchasing and Sales is a plus, as are knowledge of source systems like M3 and SAP and experience with ITIL. As we work in a global environment you must be fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
