Now we are looking for a Release Coordinator to join our R&D department.

What will you do?
You will join Product Maintenance, wich is a unit within R&D responsible of supporting the products on the market. We work close to the sales and support organisation world wide and help them in their day to day struggles. Our team work specifically with firmware and is part of the Global Product Maintenance Team (PMT) which deals with all type of cases from Hardware to Application Software.
We also make sure that the Axis product portfolio maintains an overall good quality to the satisfaction of our customers.
To deploy Firmware updates solving market-reported issues and meet the quality level expected by Axis’ customers, we need to increase our efforts in releasing maintenance updates on a larger scale.

You will be working for a development team supporting our sales and customers services organisations and responsible for:

Integrating patches provided by developers to the relevant platform branches, actively coding if needed. Identify, analyse and solve build related issues. Validating the results on the majority of the products and preparing the final maintenance releases. Participating in process development related to maintenance release. Working with further automation of our firmware release pipeline
You will play an important role because the integration unit within Product Maintenance enables us to quickly deliver critical corrections to the market and customers. Today’s operations have already increased our efficiency by more than 200% when it comes to delivering software updates and we are looking into further increasing the output.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a software engineer with a solid understanding of code integration and configuration management.You have the ability to engage discussions with others, focusing on solving problems. You are prepared to start in an environment where many processes and routines have to be defined and take responsibility to structure the work and activities.

We want you to have specific skills in:

Shell scripting, Python, Perl GIT/Gerrit and Jenkins Good understanding of C programming Embedded Systems Linux environment Good communication skills in English and Swedish
