Applications Engineer

Role description

At Unibet we practice Continuous Delivery all the way. Thanks to our highly componentised, loosely coupled architecture and fully automated release system, we are able to do zero downtime releases at a push of a button multiple times per day. As an Engineer working in our DevOps culture you will support the product teams delivering time-to-market, customer experience and business value out to the users as quickly and smoothly as possible.

You will design, develop and enhance all aspects of our Continuous Delivery system and the infrastructure around it. Our product components are all written in Java, the support systems are mainly Python. You need to be familiar with both the Java Ecosystem as well as scripting languages.

You are passionate about new technology, automation and the DevOps culture and how this can be turned into business values. A background as a developer or test automation engineer is a plus.

Key accountabilities of this role are Design and implement automation from source code modification to production.

Help product development teams troubleshoot problems, identifying and implementing solutions. Be an ambassador for DevOps and Continuous Delivery principles.

We're looking for someone with the following skills, knowledge and experience

• Proven scripting ability in at least one scripting language
• CM tools, Puppet, Ansible and friends
• Java application server knowledge
• Build and CI tools like Jenkins, Go and Maven
• Java development skills
• Linux System Administration
