Powertrain Control Systems develops control systems solutions for engines, transmission and Full Electrical/Hybrid powertrains the whole Volvo Group.
We are seeking for passionate Software Engineers to join one of our teams working on our Powertrain Software Solutions. We are currently developing our next generation ECU platform which will support our future Full Electric, Hybrid, Transmissions and Engines. The Team has high ambitions and is continuously improving our tools and toolchain in order to achieve faster, leaner more stable Software development.
We are working according to the Agile principles with Autonomous Scrum teams taking full responsibility for their deliveries. You will join a dynamic Team where the common ambition is to develop the most efficient embedded framework to allow other software developers to focus only on the added value for our customers. In other words we are a Team delivering great enablers!
Together we develop the solution for the world?s future sustainable transportation.
The enablers range from Software Architecture and associated tools framework to support Volvo Powertrain Basic SW (Actuator/Sensors, Diagnostic, Scheduling), Software configuration and Software Continuous Integration framework.
What will you be doing with us:
-Design, develop, verify and integrate Embedded software solutions enabling new capabilities in our Volvo Powertrain Basic SW.
-Build infrastructure, tools and evolve our continuous Software Integration framework.
-Working with enthusiastic engineers and contribute to the Agile journey developing autonomy and responsibility in a cross-functional team
-Work in a company where your individual development matters.
How we profile you:
-You have a MSc or similar experience in Embedded Software and/or electronics
-You are fluent in embedded real time systems programing, having skills in different languages such as C, Python, XML or similar.
-You have competences and experience in embedded software architecture, design and verification ideally in multicore CPUs environment.
-You have good communication skills and speak English.
-You can work easily in a team and can also perform more independent work when needed
-You are open-minded, pro-active, provide ideas and driving them.
-You will join our Software development center located in Göteborg (Lundby) and you will be daily collaborating with our colleagues in the main continents Hagerstown (USA), Curitiba (Brazil), Ageo (Japan) and Lyon (France). To achieve your mission and build your network you will also be travelling sometimes.
