The Media Processing Division produces Multimedia hardware and software products for mobile and embedded devices. Our Video Processors have a advanced, highly programmable architectures for accelerating video graphics, specifically tuned for high performance and energy efficiency. Our flagship Mali-V-550 multi-core video processor sets a new standard for video coding with low energy consumption.
The Mali video processor is an optimized system combining dedicated hardware accelerators and programmable cores. We are looking for an engineer that will work on our host driver code, integrating our video codec into the Android media framework. This involves both Linux user space and kernel space programming, and requires experience in working with Linux device drivers.
You need to be a highly skilled software developer, at ease with low-level embedded programming and debugging, and fluent in C. You should have experience from commercial software development, Linux driver development and have worked with the Android platform.
To be a successful applicant, you will need to display.
- Relevant M.Sc. degree or Ph.D.
- At least four years of industrial experience from driver design and working with Android
- Video coding or computer graphics fundamentals.
- Expert knowledge in C/C++
- Excellence in embedded system hardware architectures
- Good English communication skills, oral and written
- Experience from Linux development environments
