Physio-Control Lund/Jolife AB is the global center of excellence for the development of the LUCAS mechanical chest compression system. The LUCAS device is used by medical professionals to maintain life-saving circulation in sudden cardiac arrest patients during resuscitation. The market for mechanical CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) devices has grown rapidly, and the LUCAS device is the leading solution sold in over 50 countries. We work with a variety of different customers ranging from the pre-hospital emergency care field (paramedics in ambulances and helicopter), to the physicians and nurses at the hospital emergency departments and into highly specialized cardiac catheterization laboratories.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
We are now employing a senior software engineer at R&D department in Lund, Sweden, with a specialty in Linux and communication with Bluetooth and WiFi, to develop the LUCAS mechanical chest compression system further.

We expect candidates to have at least 3-5 years of experience in applicable software development. Knowledge of medical technical devices is beneficial but not a must.

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and maintain the software for the connectivity of the LUCAS device
• Participate in the overall system design of our products

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Master of Science in Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering or similar
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience of software development.
• Embedded C
• Embedded Linux and u-boot
• Bluetooth and Wifi with Linux

PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience of GIT source code management system
• Experience in electronics and measuring technique, e.g. use of oscilloscope
• Worked with medical technical devices
