As a main group in our Equipment business the Global R&D Equipment and Automation has a key role in achieving successful product development for manual and automated welding systems. Our vision is to be the best in the world at what we do - customer value, technology and product development execution for welding systems.

We are looking for strong talents with broad systems and software experience to become cornerstones in the execution of our product development roadmap. The Senior Software Designer will join our medium size software development team and have a key role in supporting system design engineers, implement robust and modular software as well as provide input and guidance in systems and software verification.

Ideally, but not required, is a complementary experience of hardware design and hence the ability to act as a bridge between hardware and software designers.

Competences
- Experience of developing complex real time embedded systems from idea to production, min. 10 years
- C, C++
- Software Architecture
- Communication Protocols (CAN Open, Ethernet)
- STM / ARM / Cortex Low Level Programming
- Continuous Integration & Unit Testing
- Embedded System Testing & Validation using Automated Methods in HIL and SIL Environments
- Electrical Design (Beneficial, Not Required)

Education
- Education in Software Design / Development M.Sc or B.Sc., or other relevant education; M.Sc or B.Sc.

Responsibilities
- Requirement analysis together with stakeholders
- Support system designers
- Planning of work packages
- Design, test and debug software
Support system and software testers
- Lead work packages / deliveries, some of them cross-functional
- Analyze and improve efficiency, robustness and modularity of software

You prefer structure, commitment and proactive decision making and planning. You are open minded with a strong drive to deliver customer value. You are excellent in verbal and written communication in English and preferably also in Swedish.
The position is placed in Gothenburg, Sweden. Traveling may occur, but is rare.
