Job Description: CBA Support Engineer

PDU Evolved Infrastructure is responsible for creating a number of the key components for the Component Based Architecture (CBA) which has been adopted as Ericsson Business Unit Cloud & IP central strategy for achieving common operating system, middleware, and O&M solutions across new and existing nodes. The CBA Components are on the leading edge of Ericsson's infrastructure development and are based on state-of-the-art technologies, including a significant amount of open-source software.

Responsibilities:

The CBA support team within the CBA Services organization is the interface within Ericsson for organizations to contact with issues and problems relating to the components

As a CBA Support Engineer you will be expected to collaborate with component design organizations and application organizations within Ericsson. You will drive the solution of problems, take part in trouble shooting activities and ensure satisfactory solutions to problems. You will also identify and document workarounds, best practices and proposals for system improvements.
On-site support and travel will be needed from time to time.

You will have a documented technical experience, from working in development activities, with strength in IP networks, Linux and High Availability. You are interested in people and technology with a clear customer focus.

You are able to combine input from several sources and derive the key technical findings and communicate the results in a clear and comprehensive way.

Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Engineering or similar work related experience competence
- Experience and good knowledge of standards for Service Availability (SA), as Open SAF.
- Experience and good knowledge in IP and Linux
- Good knowledge in English
- Knowledge in any CBA component is a merit, as well as experience from CBA development activities.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English
- Self-motivated, with the drive to solve problems and expand your knowledge.
- Service minded and always keep the customers interest in mind
- Strong analytical and system skills
- Team player, working for the team success
- Outgoing and willing to cooperate also across organizational boundaries
