Do you take technical documentation personally?

At our head office in Kållered we are now looking for you who are ready to become a member of our product documentation team and to take on the challenge of becoming our next technical communicator.

Technical documentation
As a technical communicator at Regin, you will be working with all types of technical documents, such as user manuals, help texts and product sheets. We generally use English as our source language, but writing in Swedish is also necessary. You will work with translations, proofreading, text and image processing using our PIM system CatMaker, as well as InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.

Your top skill is the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and effectively to our customers creating useful documentation. Having them understand you is important not only for technical reasons but also to ensure customer satisfaction.

Documentation is created in close cooperation with our developers, based on their specifications. You will also perform usability tests in order to understand how the products work and how they are perceived by our customer.

Coordination of translations
One important part of your role is to produce translation-friendly documentation and to coordinate translation projects, both within our documentation team and in cooperation with our subsidiaries in the world. You will take an active part in the development of the product documentation in each language.

Process development
You will take an active role in developing guidelines and processes for the production of our technical documentation. You have well-developed social skills and an innate drive to make complex things easy to understand. You create long-term solutions by working in a structured and future-oriented way, even when the overall tempo is high. You enjoy working as part of a group and view problems as a challenge.

Your background
- A formal education in technical communication or technical writing, alternatively a few years of practical work experience in technical writing.
- Excellent knowledge of English and Swedish with additional languages considered a merit.
- Excellent teaching skills and the ability to explain things in a pedagogical way, both in writing and in conversations.
- Experience in working with XML-based CMS or PIM-systems and/or systems for product development is beneficial.
- Knowledgeable in programs for documentation and layout, such as Illustrator, InDesign and CAD-programs.
- Previous experience in working with automation products is a strong merit.
