Simulation/CAE Manager

Tasks:
You shall;
. Report to the Technical Director.
. Have the task of defining, integrating and managing the software and hardware packages as well as the investments and budgets for these systems.
. Manage the ongoing and upcoming structural crash management tasks and vehicle structure strategies.
. Manage and supervise the associated Federal and European crash test programs.
. Ensure compliance targets are met for the required markets.
. Liaise with the R&D team with mentoring and support with regards structural optimization for safety, strength and weight.
. Liaise with the composite department with mentoring and support with regards lay-up optimization for safety, strength and weight.
. Be a proactive team member and contribute to the advancement of technical solutions through the company.
. Supply regular reports and updates for the management team and board.

Education:
. BEng(Hons) Mechanical Engineering.

. Crash homologation vehicle development
. Aluminium material selection
. Composite material selection and optimization
. CAE to CAD integration process development
. Vehicle architecture development for manufacturing feasibility
. Joining technique selection and application

Language: English

PC/Mac program:
. Detailed knowledge and application experience of FEA softwares such as Optisruct, Nastran and LS-Dyna
. Basic experience of Abaqus and nCode softwares
. Use of Catia V5 for basic 3D designing as well as 2D drafting
. Knowledge of Matlab, Maple and CES
. Understanding of Solid Body Mechanics as well as Thermofluids
