As the Deputy Development Manager you will have the opportunity to work in a global and diverse environment and securing deliverables that will enable IKEAs further growth and expansion.

You will be a part of a newly established and highly motivated team within IKEA IT, managing IKEAs new eCommerce platform. We believe that you love the idea of being able to establish ways of working together with our sourcing vendors.

The role as Deputy Development Manager consist of;
- Work closely together with the Development Manager to oversee, follow up and co-ordinate all ongoing work on a daily basis
- Follow up and work proactively to enable one or multiple, ongoing, interrelated Agile Release Train(s) to achieve a specific set of client business goals.
- Mainly focus on all technical aspects that is required to enable deliveries from the unit and agile work methods.
- Be prepared to stand in for the Development Manager when and if necessary.
- Work proactively to secure joint deliverables from the unit. Follow up and make sure that the work is in line with the stated common objectives of the unit across agile release trains.
- Work closely together with the Development manager to synchronize the efforts to enable the deliverables together with the sourcing partners.
- Involved in setting strategic direction to establish near term goals for area of responsibility.
- Interacts with senior management level, which involves negotiating or influencing on significant matters.
- Has latitude in decision-making and determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments.
- Facilitate release planning preparation (vision, backlogs and facilities) and the planning event.
- Assist with overall execution and program increment feature completion tracking
- Facilitate the Scrum of Scrums between the different Agile Release Trains.
- Help manage risks/dependencies and escalate impediments as needed
- Establish and track success criteria and metrics for the unit
- Drive unit-level continuous improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops
- Enhance Scrum, SAFe and Agile management practices

What kind of experience should I have?
The position as Deputy Development Manager requires that you have worked for a few years within the area of development. You have strong leadership skills and is used to work in an international environment.

To be successful in this role we think that you have:
- Broad range of program management, business, and leadership skills required, preferably from previous positions within IKEA
- Must have had a position as a line manager
- Experience with agile software development methodologies required, preferably in a large scale environment
- High level of drive and the ability to cope with fast moving customer focused agile development approach
- Facilitation and collaboration skills to support effective team events
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Leadership, influencing and motivational skills
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural teams
-Certifications in Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum Master, PM/PO, PMI ACP, SAFe SA or SAFe SPC) are a mandatory
