As the Release Train Engineer you will have the opportunity to work in a global and diverse environment and securing deliverables that will enable IKEAs further growth and expansion.

You will be a part of a newly established and highly motivated team within IKEA IT, managing IKEAs new eCommerce platform. We believe that you love the idea of being able to establish ways of working together with our sourcing vendors.

The role as Release Train Engineer consist of;
- Facilitate and lead ART (Agile Release Train) planning preparation, release planning, Scrum of Scrum, synchronization and continuous improvement events
- Manage and eliminate impediments at ART level and escalate any impediments beyond the control or influence of the ART team for resolution
- Interacts with senior management level, which involves negotiating or influencing on significant matters
- Drive ART-level continuous improvement through Inspect and Adapt workshops
- Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks
- Assist with execution and feature/epic completion tracking including managing risks, dependencies, metrics, and status reporting
- Responsible for overall execution and program increment feature completion tracking
- Encourage ART-wide communications and collaboration including but not limited to System Architecture, Engineering, DevOps, Systems Team and - Scrum/Kanban teams
- Management of Agile adoption and coach teams through processes improvements
- Help manage risks/dependencies and escalate impediments as needed
- Enhance Scrum, SAFe and Agile management practices

What kind of experience should I have?
The position as Agile Release Train engineer requires that you have worked for a few years within the area of development. You have strong leadership skills and is used to work in an international environment.

To be successful in this role we think that you have/are:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) required and/or Scaled Agilest (SA) certification
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural teams
- Previously managed project or program level initiatives
- High level of drive and the ability to cope with fast moving customer focused agile development approach
- Used to work in a multivendor environment
- Broad range of program management, business, and leadership skills required, preferably from previous positions within IKEA
- Has started and developed high performing teams
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Advanced understanding of agile, lean, theory of constraints and DevOps
- Facilitation and collaboration skills to support effective team events
- Proven track record of facilitating large teams of up to people as well as collaborating and communicating across and beyond the ART team
- Experience with agile software development methodologies required, preferably in a large scale environment
- Leadership, influencing and motivational skills
- Certifications in Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum Master, PM/PO, PMI ACP, SAFe SA or SAFe SPC) preferred
