Role Summary/Purpose:
We are seeking/looking for a Software Engineer to work with embedded systems.
You will be part of the Software team on the Engineering department at GEMS PET Systems, Husbyborg, Uppsala, with product development in the area of cyclotrons.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Software Engineer will be responsible for embedded software development and second line customer support for existing and new products.
Typical tasks are to work in a group as an individual to:
implementation of functionality required by customers, service and production.
develop new software functionality for controlling cyclotron subsystems.
develop hardware related embedded systems programs, communication layers and commands between systems.
support implementation for better software layering structure within control system.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor degree or equal work experience
Experience of embedded software development and design in C
Experience with software development and design in Linux/Debian environment or Windows CE experience
Experience with test and verification of design
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Desired Characteristics:
Experience in software design of hardware control
Knowledge in how to read electronic hardware schematics
Knowledge of our existing cyclotron software
Eclipse experience
