IT architect for Microsoft based infrastructure in Scania IT
The Group Service Development for Infrastructure Delivery (IUAC) owns and maintains the Managed Services and Platforms used by delivery teams throughout the organisation in provisioning of solutions to the Scania business functions. The components part of the responsibility include amongst others Operating System, databases and application platforms, irrespective of provider and choice of technology.
To meet the requirements and demands from Scania's business functions we need to strengthen the Service Development Group with an IT architect for Microsoft based infrastructure who will work with Service Owners and technical experts to define our future services and support customer specific solution designs.
Your tasks
You will have the responsibility for the infrastructural architecture for Windows Server based platforms, and will drive the development and implementation of technical roadmaps for respective areas together with Service Owners. You will be placed in a challenging environment with opportunities for development in technology, coordination and leadership.
Your work amongst other will cover:
.Propose and secure the most optimal IT infrastructure for our customers and the business needs
.Continuously propose and developimprovements in existing services and solutions
.Develop Roadmaps and plans tied to customer needs and technological developments
.Liaise and coordinate on different levels in the organisation to secure alignment and implementation
.Capacity Management calculations based on models and subsequent support to provisioning of new
.Comparison and decision support for alternative solutions, such as in-house, public/private cloud, virtualisation technologies
.Cost calculations for different solutions, showing how different aspects of requirements, quality and costs influence each other
.Participation in Project initiation to secure infrastructural solutions in-line with development plans and roadmaps, to support the projects, as well as to get insight in usability of solutions
Your profile
You have a relevant academic education or equivalent work experience in the area of work.
It is considered beneficial if you have experience from leadership and financial responsibility.
You are customer oriented with good communication skills on all levels, proactive, take initiatives and ownership and have the drive to move our services forward.
You further may have a relevant background as: .software/solutions architect
.infrastructure architect
.technical responsible
.maintenance manager
.project manager
If you also have experience from technical development and design for services, you may be the right person for the job.
You are fluent in Swedish and English, both oral and writing.
