UR (Swedish Educational Broadcasting Company) System Developer

UR (Sveriges Utbildningsradio AB) är ett flermedialt public service-bolag som ska göra skillnad i människors lärande. UR:s uppgift är att bidra till kunskap och utbildning samt att bredda, förstärka och komplettera andras utbildningsinsatser.

Den kunskapsbank som UR utgör finns fritt tillgänglig på webben under lång tid. UR arbetar aktivt för att finnas där användarna finns, vilket betyder att UR publicerar program även på andras plattformar. UR driver dessutom Kunskapskanalen tillsammans med SVT samt sänder i SR:s och SVT:s kanaler.

UR har i uppdrag att spegla hela befolkningen med program för grupper som annars inte syns och hörs så ofta, som språkliga och etniska minoriteter samt personer med funktionsnedsättning. UR har cirka 230 anställda vilka huvudsakligen arbetar i Stockholm.

Qualifications

We are looking for a versatile System Developer. We expect you to have a structured approach and have the ability to deliver relevant and creative solutions with great customer value. We are looking for someone who has worked as a back- and front-end developer for at least 3 years.

You should have an eye for details and like new solutions. Equally important is that you have a huge personal commitment and drive.

You write HTML (5), CSS (3), JavaScript, Ruby and PHP and you are passionate about creating user-friendly services that create customer and business benefits

You pay attention to detail and have experience in development of both mobile and desktop applications.

You are interested in UX and updated on new technologies. You know the advantages and disadvantages of jQuery, Bootstrap, Symfony, Rails, Django, etc.

You should have experience of working with external APIs from known web services such as Facebook, Twitter, Google and others. You should also have an understanding and an ability to translate ideas and to solve practical technical solutions.
