The department of Computer Science and Engineering is strongly international, with approximately 80 faculty and 70 PhD students from 30 countries. The department is a fully integrated department with the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology as principals. The position is placed in the Software Engineering (SE) Division with the University of Gothenburg as the employer. Within the SE division, research range from software architecture, requirements, process improvement and change management, human factors, model-driven software development, agile processes, to verification and validation.

Arbetsuppgifter
This is a short time position for 3 months for developing software for smartboards to be used in our teaching. The job assignments is to develop software that enables the smartboard to be used for teaching purposes - in particular for in-classroom and in remote-teaching settings.

Utbildning/Erfarenhet
Candidates need to be fluent in Java, JavaFX graphics library. Experience with programming for smartboards or touchscreens/tablets is a plus, also experience in creating Android is a plus. The candidates should at least have a B.Sc. degree in Software Engineering. The candidates need to be fluent in English - both in writing and speech. Candidates need to be fluent in UML. Candidates must have knowledge of software design processes. Candidates should have practical experience in working with software versioning tools - esp. Git is a plus. Assessment Candidates are asked to: - Present their portfolio of software for smartscreens - Show a piece of their written report in English When invited for an interview we ask candidates to do a small programming exercise in Java and JavaFX.
