Senior SAP Process & Solution Architect - Lead

SAP Centre of Excellence is a function within Group IT, globally responsible for delivery and governance of all SAP based solutions within the organisation. We are organised around two areas of delivery; support and maintenance of productive solutions, and new development implementation projects. Geographically our team is located in the Volvo Car Group's offices in Gothenburg and Shanghai. The delivery model is global with a balanced mix of on-site and off-shore staff for both maintenance and project deliveries. The demand for SAP based solutions is growing for all processes within the company and our role of governance is growing more important. We are present during the entire solution life cycle, and in the initial phase of projects, solution architecture and business fit is secured as well as project standards and quality compliance. In maintenance the continuous change and improvement process and landscape lifecycle are the main governing tasks. The organisation as well as our team is in an expansive period and we are looking for you that can contribute and be a part of our SAP team.
As Senior SAP Process & Solution Architect Lead you will be a part of our new development team, with a lead role in Finance, Purchasing or Manufacturing area dependent on your expertise. You will have the responsibility to provide support and governance for architecture and process design to both business and IT project teams. Your goal is to influence the use of SAP within your area in a way that will give best total benefit to Volvo Car Groups business. A daily task is to participate in the work to find the right balance between the overall advantage of an enterprise wide integrated standard process, and the uniqueness of business that bring that extra edge. The work spans from technical and functional detailed matters to contribute with content in strategic work. In this you are the link between the business processes and the SAP solutions for new development within SAP Purchasing and Manufacturing area. Typically you have been working as a SAP consultant for a number of years within these areas.
Main responsibilities
* Responsible for existing solution towards business and inside SAP Centre of Excellence
* Subject Matter of Expert of solution by having core business process and SAP knowledge within the functional area
* Maintenance responsible towards projects
* Govern small enhancements
* Owner of solution towards managed service partner
Required qualifications
* University degree in either Engineering, Business Administration or an IT related topic
* Extensive knowledge in the SAP area
* At least 10 years experience in SAP Configuration
* Deep knowledge of business processes and SAP application possibilities
* Work experience from the IT field and from large global organisations
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Knowledge from other SAP modules than above mentioned areas are considered a merit

* Ability to work in a multicultural environment with IT-tools/Systems development
* Strong business orientation and business acumen
* A strategic mindset on how SAP should, or should not be used in large organisations

* Ability to proactively set proposed processes or solutions to establish a starting point for change
* Able to travel on occasion
