We are now seeking an exceptionally talented and passionate Senior Interaction Designer to join us. As part of our UX design team, the successful candidate will foster a culture of user experience in the development process and will be integrated in a global UX community driving for consistency across our product suites. He/she will be involved in interaction design, information architecture, user research, prototyping, testing and analyzing concept to implementation of products and solutions with our local UX teams. His/her work will span across the entire BUSS portfolio.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of user interface and visual design experience with Web applications, desktop, and mobile applications, including proven experience with different UX deliverables, and the ability to adapt them to different uses, projects and constraints. He/she must be self-motivated, willing to be challenged by management, experts, development teams and customers, as well as work thoughtfully in building bridges between our offices globally.
The position will be placed in Kista and a direct report to head of BUSS UX Design Team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Take a leadership role in guiding our distributed/local UX teams in the design of world-class user-focused applications through reviews and support
- Take responsibility and drive the product design through the whole lifecycle (via prototypes, GUI sketches, mockups, etc), from early definition and analysis, to test and customer installation
- Evangelize and contribute to evolving our branding, user-centered design ways of working, new interface guidelines and design patterns
- Stay informed of advances in interactive techniques, technologies and methods, and adapt to rapidly evolving industry space
- Help drive change by communicating findings to stakeholders in the company
- Inspire, motivate and mentor creative teams
- Work with business units and in close cooperation with Solution Areas and development centers.
- Participate with our UX design team in defining/refining UX strategy and ways and working for our business unit
Qualifications
- BA or BS degree in Interaction/Graphic Design, Human Factors, Graphic Design, or related field
- 5+ years of user interface and visual design experience with Web applications, desktop, and mobile applications and the ability to produce and deliver designs at various levels of fidelity (whiteboard flows, rough prototypes, pixel-perfect layouts, animated transitions).
- Solid visual/graphical design skills
- HTML/CSS knowledge and understanding of web development
- Experience with agile development
- Effective communicator, presenter, and negotiator
- Creativity and great attention to details
- Strong skills in learning and understanding complex business technologies
- Positive attitude and passionate
- Ability to initiate and lead new activities, and to work independently, as well as in a team
- Must be able to provide an online portfolio of UX projects (or samples of preview work) - to which you have made a significant contribution - that demonstrates ability to turn ideas into a strong and unique creative vision.
