We are looking for an experienced Sound Programmer for an exciting and unique high-profile unannounced AAA title. At Avalanche Studios you will develop cutting edge open world audio and work with some of the industry’s most exciting technologies and talented individuals.

The position
As a sound programmer you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining sound related systems within the Avalanche engine. This will involve using and developing our in-house sound engine as well as 3rd party sound middlewares. You will work closely with the game teams and our sound designers to produce great open world games and you will be instrumental in our mission to bring open world audio to the next level.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual, good at communicating and keen on working with cross-discipline teams.

Required qualifications

A strong passion for sound and games
2+ years of professional C/C++ programming experience
Prior experience as a sound programmer

Beneficial qualifications

Experience from sound and/or games systems development
Experience from working with fmod or other sound middlewares
Streaming / resource management
Scripting (python or similar)
