IT Developer, Collateral

We are looking for a developer to join and be part of building the new Collateral team in an ambitious, agile IT domain in Nordea. We operate in a high pace international environment and you will collaborate with colleagues of different domains, roles and nationalities.

The position we offer

Collateral is the newest part of Capital Efficiency in the Credit and Capital domain. Here we focus on collateral management. Capital Efficiency provides applications services to optimise capital allocation in Nordea. As a valued partner we deliver on the top prioritized business investment themes including balance sheet optimisation and process efficiency.

The department today has several delivery teams that, using an agile way of working, develop solutions in close cooperation with Group Credit Risk and other partners in Retail Banking and other areas in Nordea.

Capital Efficiency is responsible for supporting the following business services:

- Provision & Loss
- Debt Collection
- Collateral Management
- Limit Management
- Balance Sheet Management analysis

Among your responsibilities, you?ll find design, code, document and to some extent also test applications to fulfil business and IT requirements, in order to ensure robustness and IT operational stability. You will continuously improve code quality and flexibility to ensure maintainability and changeability of systems.

We work in a Nordic environment which means that you must expect some travel.

The qualifications you need

To succeed in this role, you need to team up with Nordea colleagues as well as external partners to facilitate agile application development processes to improve quality and time to market.

We expect you to be curious and to proactively seek and make use of new knowledge and share that with your colleagues. You are a true team player that offers support and feedback to colleagues and contributes to a positive and efficient collaboration. You also have the ability to find the right level and type of communication to our various stakeholders. It is crucial that your English communication skills are excellent.

You have experience from agile development, are comfortable in a high pace environment and find solutions through a structured and proactive approach. We value experience in working in distributed teams.

We expect you to be skilled in Oracle Service Bus (OSB), Oracle BPEL, Java, scripting, XML, xslt and xsd programming. If you also have knowledge about deployment and integration test automation and Java Web/ REST service development, you will be able to put those skills to good use.
