Creative Product and Software Developer

You will be part of ABB Force Measurement in Västerås.
We are part of the Process Automation division and develop industrial products for measuring forces and dimensions in industries like rolling mill and paper production. We use unique basic principles well suited for harsh environments which has provided us with a long track record of satisfied customers. We are world leading within these business areas with a large market share over the world.

The challenge: Are you keen on supporting innovative technical product and software solutions aimed at industrial measuring and control problems? As Software Developer, you will work in a position that stimulates your ability to solve problems, stretch your knowledge and tickles your curiosity. As one of our creative and enthusiastic software engineers you will be involved in the whole process, from specification to test including design, implementation and support. Thereby you will obtain deep insights into how our products are used. Furthermore you will be part of an internationally oriented team with contacts all over the globe.

The requirements: You have a Masters degree in Computer Science, Applied Physics or Electrical Engineering. In addition you have good knowledge about modern software development and experience of Java or other object oriented language which you have obtained from an earlier position. You have good knowledge in Control Theory and with your experience you can apply theoretical knowledge to problem solving. In addition you describe yourself as a team player that owns his/her work and committed to vision and agreed goals. As a person you have an optimistic outlook and enjoy being surrounded by others.
