Now we are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Product Maintenance team.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As Axis product portfolio continues to increase we need to strengthen our capacity to provide the best service possible to our support and sales organisations. We are looking for a software developer with strong troubleshooting skills.
You will be working for a development team supporting our sales and customer support organisations and your tasks will be to:
Troubleshoot firmware issues in our embedded video software platform. Implement more or less customized solutions for specific customer projects. Provide the deep technical expertise to the support and sales teams.
You will work closely to our Global support and sales team in Sweden but will also have some contacts with the local offices as well as end-users if needed.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We want you to have good knowledge in Linux as well as C-programming. You have to be able to engage discussions with others and focus on problem solving. Desirable is that you also have an ability to communicate professionally with ‘external’ parties (customers and partners).
In addition to above it´s good if you have the following experience and abilities:
Some Experience of Embedded Systems Good communications skills in English and Swedish Using advanced debugging tools Using network analyzers like Wireshark and interpreting the output Working in a support organization
Product Maintenance
Product Maintenance is a unit within R&D responsible of supporting the products on the market. We work close to the sales and support organisation world-wide and help them in their day to day struggles. Our team work specifically with firmware and is part of the Global Product Maintenance Team (PMT) which deals with all type of cases from Hardware to System Solutions.
We also make sure that the Axis product portfolio maintains an overall good quality to the satisfaction of our customers. Axis needs to provide an outstanding service to our customers and partners, especially in the demanding Enterprise segment.
