Junior Software Engineer

Leica Geosystems and the division of Machine Control are developing advanced software for the civil engineering and construction industry.

Moving large amounts of data to the cloud quickly and effectively is our specialty and we are eagerly looking for a motivated software developer to join us.

You will contribute to our Machine Control development and improve the communication plat-form used as part of our Machine Solutions.

We are looking for someone with a passion for Python, Django, Cloud computing/Web services and building web platforms.

You will be part of our office team located in nice, new premises in Stockholm, Liljeholmen.

As Leica is a global company you will be part of an international environment and interact with colleagues around the world.

The role will require a few business trips a year, mainly in Europe.

Your skills:

• Are you a high performing technical graduate? Then you are welcome to apply

• BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent

• Strong web service development knowledge

• Experience with Python and web development frameworks

• Familiar with Django, Django REST Framework and AngularJS

• Bonus: 1-3 years of professional software development experience

• Knowledge of Agile development methods

• Bonus: Linux, Test Driven Development

• Fluent in English
