Development Team Lead - Besedo

Stockholm headhunting has been commissioned to find a Development Team Lead to Besedo.

Besedo offer solutions to moderate and detect fraud and scam attempts on user generated content on the Internet, such as ads, dating profiles and social media, mainly in the field of UGC (User Generated Content). Their customers are leading online companies within gaming, dating services, social networking and media, for whom safety and consumer confidence is crucial. They have offices in Colombia, Malta, Romania and Stockholm. The Stockholm office has just moved to new premises in Hornstull.

Over the past two years Besedo has developed a consumer-focused and automated product targeted directly to external companies. Their service was launched a while ago and have already active customers with millions of users on the platform but there is still more to be build and developed. Therefore the development team needs to be strengthened with a Team Lead.

Besedo is building a SaaS content moderation platform, they call it Implio - with both automation capabilities and a powerful user interface for human moderation. Statistics and machine learning will also play an important part in the platform.

Besedo are looking for someone with a few years experience as a developer, preferably with some kind of experience in a leadership role such as Lead developer, Scrum master or similar. You will motivate and challenge the development team to work smarter and and tighter as a team. Therfore, your qualities as a person are more important then your previous working titles.

Besedo use JavaScript throughout, with Node.js, Express/Restify in the backend and Angular.js as frontend. They also work with noSQL databases such as MongoDB and MariaDB. You will be an important member of a great team and you will have the possibility to influence the design and architecture.

As a person you are self-assured, goal oriented and team focused. It is important that you enjoy communicating and sharing your knowledge and expertise openly with all members of the team. You enjoy motivating others as well as problem solving and to keep yourself updated on new technologies and innovative solutions, with no compromise in terms of scalability, stability or durability. Fluent English in speech and writing is a requirement since Besedo has offices in several countries as well as international customers.
