Job Description We're hiring for our platform team, a cross¬-functional set of people focused on building internal services and systems as well as the application framework that other teams create customer--facing features upon. As an Infrastructure engineer at Gears of Leo you'll be working closely on several projects including: An auto-scaling system that manages and deploys services throughout the world, a feature role system responsible for handling A/B testing etc. These projects will also include moving to a microservices-based infrastructure, migrating our user application from Backbone to React and migrating our mobile application from Cordova & Backbone to React Native. These projects are targeted at further enabling the company to grow its market presence on a global level by increasing our infrastructure scalability and resilience ahead of the anticipated business needs while simplifying deployment flows and optimizing costs. This role is development heavy, a solid knowledge of programming/scripting is required. We do of course like you a little bit more if you have a proven record within: Cloud API (eg, Google Cloud, Amazon or Azure), Docker, Jenkins & Ansible, working within an Agile environment & JIRA or similar systems and identifying and optimize areas that aren't automated enough. Your responsibilities will be to: Communicate regularly with our 24/7 operations branch who monitor all systems, building systems with a nearly unilateral focus on on automation and resilience, communicating with other teams to make sure best practice, managing a global infrastructure and maintain procedures and systems architecture in Confulence (Wiki).

You are the one we're looking for if you: Are a teamplayer Are used to work with Git/GitHub Have the experience with deploying and managing a global infrastructure with region-based load balancing Have worked with automation, logging and monitoring Have at least 2 years of experience with automated deployment & building pipelines Are ready for the challenge to develop tools to deal with a larger microservices architecture Development & Scripting (e.g. Python or similar)
