Full-Stack Developer - Startup

We’re looking for an outstanding full-stack developer to join our startup’s highly skilled and passionate product development team in its early expansion phase.

We work in an agile environment with vertical feature teams where developers excel in both frontend and backend coding. We deliver continuously and we like to automate absolutely everything and work heavily with reproducible and immutable environments using Docker and CoreOS.

Many of the services we’re building are green-field and everyone will have a chance to influence team decisions. We put a lot of weight on designing for multiple form-factors (HTML 5, CSS 3, AngularJS) in the frontend and distributed and concurrent computing (Akka) in the backend.

Everyone’s involved in the entire software lifecycle and we don’t just build production-ready software, we’re also expected to be as interested in DevOps and operating, monitoring and supporting that software.

• A passionate person with a background in full-stack development
• Exhibiting a key sense for details, solving problems, simplicity, and quality, while maintaining a sense of humour
• 5 yr+ professional experience
• 3 yr+ experience with Scala or other JVM / functional + imperative languages
• 2 yr+ experience building responsive websites in HTML 5, CSS 3 and JavaScript.
• 1 yr+ experience with client-side MVC frameworks (AngularJS, Ember or equivalent)
• Experience with automated testing practices such as TDD, unit testing and E2E testing (Protractor, Selenium or equivalent)
• Knowledge of devops and continuous delivery principles
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages
• Fluency in English with strong verbal, written and visual presentation skills

Other skills we’re looking for

• Knowledge of CQRS, DDD and Event Sourcing principles
• Experience building distributed and concurrent applications in Akka
• Experience with NoSQL databases and Elasticsearch

Tipser is a platform for digital pop-up shops. We think e-commerce should be like a streaming service: Accessible, independent of platform and located where the audience is.

Our ambition with Tipser is to re-arrange the e-commerce ecosystem of today. Instead of bringing the customer to the store, we’re bringing the store to the customer.

Our services are creating a new and direct revenue stream for publishers and bloggers by allowing merchants and brand-partners to display and sell their products through publishing houses and blog networks. Consumers are equipped with a personal, tag-along shopping cart, and universal checkout while they discover their favourite products from thousands of blogs and magazines.
