About Group IT

Group IT is located in Sweden, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. We are 1400 employees responsible for running the bank, developing and maintening business strategic and central systems in Swedbank.

All development is managed in projects and we deliver approximately 600 projects and pre-studies during a business year.

Through understanding and acting from the needs of our internal customers, we offer the group competitive IT-solutions which support new products and high level services to our clients.

Do you have experience in technical, performance and capacity issues, and enjoy solving them? We are now looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our team of 16 specialists located in Sweden, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Assignment specification

Infrastructure and Operations key role is to deliver IT infrastructure and operational services in a flexible, cost-effective, and high-quality manner to enable the bank to work with their clients. Application Infrastructure is its Sub Department and is divided into areas such as Integration infrastructure, Java application servers, Data warehousing and BI infrastructure. Our key objectives are to:

deliver efficient, reliable and stable IT-services support Swedbank and enable the Business Areas to focus on adding customer values have engaged, motivated and proud employees
As an Infrastructure engineer you will work with maintaining and optimizing systems, standardizing and automating where possible. You will identify and solve problems/incidents, measure the performance and capacity and take part in project related work. On-call work may occur occasionally.  This means that you will be:

solving level 2 and 3 incidents and problems collaborating with technical leaders, inside and outside the organization recommending on infrastructure architecture principles and standards
To excel in this role you need to have:

Work experience in IT sector; Knowledge of and experience withinJava and script languages such as python and perl Proficiency in UNIX(Solaris) and/or Linux The ability to work in an international team Fluent English skills The ability to travel as needed
Knowledge and experience of the following is an advantage:

ITIL framework IBM Websphere or Oracle Weblogic application servers Database administration, development and SQL
As a person you have good analytical and problem solving skills. You are flexible and responsive and quality and service-minded. You aim to do things purposefully and structurally. You are used to working proactively and you know how to suggest and implement improvements to build maintenance efficiency. You are an excellent team-player.
