Visual Designer

Opera Sweden is looking for a Visual Designer to help design and deliver the next generation of our mobile products on both Android and iOS. Joining our highly experienced design team, you will develop user interfaces and make them into tangible user experiences. As a Visual Designer, you will work closely with other members of our product, design, and engineering teams to translate concepts into living, breathing applications. You will iterate on interactions, animations and subtle details to deliver the perfect user experience. We are looking for someone with passion and engagement in what you do, as well as a proper team spirit so that you fit in with Operas dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
* Deliver innovative, engaging mobile app designs and prototypes.
* Advise, collaborate with, and synthesize feedback from the product team, UX team and engineering.
* Fulfill several project requests simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
* Assist engineers with final development of Opera products.

Requirements
* An awesome-looking portfolio
* Proficiency in visual design software like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Sketch
* An understanding of a user-centered design process, methodologies and principles of usability
* An understanding of iOS HIG & Android Material Design
* Experience in optimizing assets for mobile compatibility
* Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Ideals
* 5+ years of experience in designing mobile applications for both iPhone & Android
* Bachelors or Masters degree in Design or a related field
* Motion design experience
* Prototyping and scripting
* Fluency in Mandarin
