Software Engineer

Spotify is looking for a Software Engineer with passion for high quality and delivering products to be proud of.

Spotify wants to ship the highest quality products in the business, faster than anyone else. In order to achieve this we need to have the correct tools, practices and the right mindset. Your mission is to help our client application teams reach this goal. This means developing the tools and frameworks needed while evangelising good software craftsmanship, empowering teams to deliver software with confidence.

In your role at Spotify, you are expected to contribute to the group working with engineering practices and methodologies influencing how we work with software at Spotify globally. You have opinions on how to deliver great software integrations and are prepared to challenge those around you to keep getting better.

What you?ll do:

- Spotify client development on iOS, Android and/or desktop
- Develop and deliver test automation and development tools
- Push the limits of automation beyond the conventional
- Frequently explore new technical perspectives to boost development productivity
- Work in a team using agile methodologies

One or more of the following describes you:

- You are a quality evangelist
- You are test infected, that is you are passionate about writing automated tests and testable code.
- You have solid professional background in development, preferably in several disciplines.
- You have experience working in a team where code reviews, regression tests, release schedules and a tight quality discipline were key
- You have experience with large scale build and test systems, continuous delivery, scripting (Puppet, Python, Ruby, or Shell) and source control systems (preferably Git)
- You have experience with profilers, debuggers and code analysis tools
- You are a team player who thrives on learning new things, collaboration and sharing your knowledge
- You will work from our awesome office in Stockholm - we offer relocation packages if you do not currently live in Sweden.
