Java Developer for Scania IT

Production Control IT within Scania IT is responsible for delivering Java and Oracle Forms products to secure daily business operation and accelerate business development for Scania Production Control within the Order to Delivery (O2D) process. We are looking for a driven Java developer interested in agile working methods that will improve our team even further.

Production Control IT is a team that is highly skilled and committed, with considerable job satisfaction and good opportunities for personal development. We are constantly striving to improve both systems and work processes, the team consists of Maintenance Manager, Developers, Business Analyst and Testers that are responsible for complete deliveries to our customers and users. The team is involved in the entire system development process, from concept development to implementation and maintenance. We are aiming for self-supporting teams with focus on quality assurance. We have an agile way of working and our main focus is a big development project using Java and the maintenance of Java and Oracle Forms applications owned by Scania Production Control that is used by many departments within Scania globally.

Your role
We can offer you a role as a member of a development team where you will be working with system requirements, testing and release management with a principal focus on development deliverables. You will adopt an agile approach to work, with technical variation and customer/business contact at a company with a good working environment. Business development, with a focus on quality, lean principles and continual improvement initiatives, are three distinctive features of Scania.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in IT or equivalent experience. You have at least a few years of experience working with Java development and look forward to be a part of a challenging project.

We also think you have:
.Experience of MAVEN and Spring (Spring Boot)
.Knowledge or experience of agile teams and SCRUM
.Good knowledge of JavaScript, AngularJS and Rest
.Knowledge of and an interest in software architecture and building reusable and modular IT solutions
.The commitment and motivation to work with others to deliver, simplify and improve
It is also good if you have experience in: .Test Driven Development (TDD)
.Testing (preferably using Selenium)
.Jenkins
We expect applicants to be driven, have excellent problem-solving skills and to have a genuine interest in developing in the role as system developer. To be successful in this role you will also need to have good communication skills and feel comfortable working closely with several parties within the business. You are a team player, but are also capable of working independently. As the corporate language is English, you need to be proficient in written and spoken English.
